Brief History
Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke attained autonomous status in 1992 through the enactment of Osun State Law No. 6 of 1992, which was signed into law by the first Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, the late Alhaji Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke. The College is situated in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.
Academic activities commenced in the College in 1993. Among the pioneer faculties established at the inception of the institution was the Faculty of Environmental Studies. Since the establishment of the College, the Faculty has continued to offer various academic programmes at the National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) level in Urban and Regional Planning. Over the years, the Faculty has produced several thousands of graduates who have distinguished themselves in various professional fields across Nigeria and beyond.
The Faculty maintains a cordial relationship with its graduates through the Alumni Association, which actively collaborates with the Faculty in creating opportunities and supporting initiatives that benefit both current students and the College as a whole. In addition, adequate facilities and learning resources have been provided to enhance teaching, learning, and research activities within the Faculty.
The Faculty is committed to producing highly skilled and professionally competent graduates capable of representing their respective departments, the Faculty, and the College with distinction in their chosen fields of endeavour. The programmes offered by the Faculty at the National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) level are duly accredited and approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
